The Future of Ford: Self-Driving Car

The future of autonomous cars is finally coming to reality. In 2021, Ford will officially be mass producing self-driving cars and will be able to used by consumers. The autonomous Ford vehicle will be like Uber services without an actual driver since there is no physical steering wheel in the car!

Ford's goal was to not only be a company that just makes cars, but a business for mobility that leads in high technology and performance.

Features of the autonomous vehicle include no steering wheel, gas, or break pedal. With the development of the self driving car, Ford is investing in several tech start up companies to make the most out of the vehicle.

Ford is also expanding in the Silicon Valley, creating a new campus in Palo Alto. They have also doubled their team in the Silicon Valley. Ford will officially be the largest test fleet for autonomous vehicles where they will have 30 self driving cars in California, Arizona, Michigan. They are planning for this number to triple the year after.

Get ready for a new and improved ride sharing service. Imagine getting picked up by a car without a driver because this fantasy will be coming to reality in only five years!
